June - a dear friend. We met in Stonehaven in 1980 when Sheena and my Fiona were babies. Tony and Mike enjoyed golf together. We only lived there for 4 years and of all the friends we made June and Tony are the only ones we were still in touch with 40 years later. June was the kind of person whom you knew would be there for you, calm and serene. I have happy memories of visits to back to Aberdeen always made welcome and at least once "borrowing "their house when they were not there. It was a friendship that even if we had not seen each other for awhile it felt like picking up where we left off.

In 2012 we stayed with them in Southwold and had a wonderful visitwhich my sister also enjoyed made equally welcome. It was lovely to see Southwold and the family haunts including the beach hut.

I sent June a whats app message at the end of January, I was so glad Sheena could send me on June's reply typed but not sent. Typical of June she was remembering I had a birthday coming up and it was a special one - this while she heŕself was in hospital poorly .

June I will miss you and treasure the memories. Mary
